Cave of Forgotten Dreams

Herzog pointed out how many of the animals painted have multiple legs to show them moving, especially when they were lit by torches. This is fascinating because even people who lived back then could understand the concept of movement in art. Herzog also commented on the fluidity between man and animals saying, "man can get transformed into an animal and the other way around". Humans and animals had a deeper connection 30,000 years ago and were seen more as one. Another concept Herzog talked about was permeability, how there were, "no barriers between the world where we are and the world of the spirits". The cave and the walls that contained the drawings connect the present day to how the world was 30,000 years ago. We will never know intimate details of their lives, but can get a closer look based off of the paintings and the cave.
